Colorful don't you think?

Pebble Shore Lake is located in Glacier National Park in Montana.
One could not simply marvel at it's beautiful colored pebbles and not wonder why such pebbles have such unique colors.

Pebbles are generally formed by flowing water washing over the rock particles along the bottom and along the shores of the river. The smoothness and color of the river pebbles depends on several fact factors such as the chemical characteristics of the water, speed of the current and the composition of the soil of the river banks.

The pebbles found in the river/lake are generally not as smooth as beach pebbles as rivers current is gentler compared to ocean waves.

If you would like a scenic view of the national park, here it is:

It's a great place to relax in, take in the atmosphere and be one with nature.
